YEEEEAA HAAAA!
2003-11-13 / 8:28 a.m.
Well hello strangers!
Thought I'd best let you all know what's been happening around here in sunny sunderland!
Physically I'm great. Finally off all medication and I feel better than I have in years. I think it wasn't just old ghosts that kept me in a state of depression - the tablets sure didn't help and lets face it there would've always been the temptation of taking a few too many.
So they're all ditched!
I've lost the mad hair colours and I'm getting some normality back - not that I'm back to ginger. That's a bit too much!
Oh, and it's growing too... No longer spikey and short.
I'm getting old! ;)
I've lost a load of weight which is fab - 4 stone in fact! I'm around 9 and a half now which is great. My boobs havent followed the normal rules though and somehow I'm up to a double F! It's all in good taste though! ;)
Hmmm...
Other news.
Remember in the last entry way back when I said I was going to see Cerys...
I did.
She was incredible and the sweetest little thing I ever did see!
We had a good ol' natter and a cuddle and photo - which of course is my prized posession!
I'll have to write all that out one day.
Best day of my life. Thanks to my Vonny.
Needless to say I'm more in love with Cerys than I've ever been. She was so genuine it was great. Even Von was impressed by the concert and the good lady herself!
Ahhh... *swoon*
Anyanyany HOO!
Still single - Too many failed relationships to worry about that. I do still wish i was with Laura who was a very very beautiful blonde. Things might improve there - fingers crossed...
I had a relationship with a lass called Sam which was weird because most of the time I thought I sounded crazy with her having the same name and all... But bless her she was nice enough - except she kept teling me she was straight. Long story. Bleurgh!
My fault mainly - but she's since set sail on the path of lesbianism. Including falling for Liz. Interesting to say the least! It's like watching myself 2 years ago!
Also as far as news goes I'm getting back to work and it's all good.
I'm working as a very successful counsellor which is perhaps one of the last jobs certain people would've seen me doing!
It's charity work but they've made me a trustee which is a great boost to my self-esteem. Which has had enough of a beating over the last 5 or more years!
The charity's called S.H.I.P. and it deals with Gay and Lesbian people having problems - everything from suicide to domestic abuse. We also deal with people who have HIV or AIDs. It's so good to know I'm actually doing something and not just talking about helping. Also I'm the only Lesbian counsellor which means I get a lot of work. Without Lesbians there would be no melodrama - or so the saying goes...
My other job is weird for me too...
I'm now working as a professional DJ.
Yup. Me - DJ...
I have my own residency starting up in December on Fawcett Street in Sunderland and even funnier is that it'll be an R and B night. I'll be doing some guest spots through the week too though and it'll be more my style.
At the minute I'm working in Gillespies in the town which is really fun - The guys think it's funny to try and get me drunk.
They seem to think it's a game to see if they can get drunk enough to mess up. I haven't yet and because I'm doing so well it's looking like there'll be more work coming in soon including the gay scene in Newcastle!
I'm also working for a Karaoke company - not the same one as Liz though - which is great - too much police involvement in that company at the minute for my liking...
It's just what I need - a chance to be around fun people. I spent too much time in the house for the first few years up here. I'm definately not that person anymore and I'm much better for it.
For starters I have my own friends who like me for me...
Marvellous.
My photography's going up in S.H.I.P. and they'll be little bits and pieces coming in soon I think.
Everything's going so well over here now it's hard to believe that 4 years old I couldn't stand the thought of living here!
Mum and Dad are coming back from their big journey around europe for Christmas.
It's been so weird not having them in the country.
Nice - but weird!
The house is good - still decorating. I think I'll be doing that forever though!
I've got a dog called Jake now too who's my baby boy. He was Sam's - I bought him for her. He was an early 18th birthday present - Yes we were together when she was only 17... Scandalous! ;)
The cat's dont mind him so much. Willow's still just not sure what he is let alone who and he's been at mine since august!
So... yeah!
Got to dash I'm going on an excursion with my Claire-bear today. We're going car shopping. She needs a 7-seater. Should be fun! Brmmm brmmm!
I hope everyone's ok and I'm so very sorry if I haven't been in touch - I had my beautiful video mobile stolen and I haven't got round to replacing it yet and more to the point I've lost people's numbers!
EMAIL ME - I need them back!
Lots of love and squishy stuff!
Sammy!
(Not DJ Sammy by the way - that one's already been taken and there's no chance in hell I'd go by the name Sammy in public... I'm getting billed as DJ Tink according to Arnie cos I've got Tink on my CD case. I dont think it's very good but appears to have stuck!)
Take care and I'll no doubt waffle again soon!
Woo!
